Open Light Partnership
A Collaborative Model to Extend District Professional Development
Regional Educational Technology Assistance (RETA) has worked with multiple districts on the Open Light Partnership (an EETT project). The goals of the partnership include extending the use of open source tools, providing online and traditional professional development (PD) workshops, facilitating the sharing of existing resources, and developing district capacity to offer PD on technology enhanced instructional strategies. Representatives from the partnership will share information about the development, delivery and progress of this collaborative effort.

Presenter Background
Holly is a Technology & Learning Facilitator for NMSU. She not only works with RETA, but also with the Division of Student Success to implement social media, webconferencing, and other online teaching and learning efforts. From 2003-07 Holly taught middle school technology and media. In 2006-07 she led an action research study exploring Moodle in blended course environments. Holly completed her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Educational Development of Learning Technologies through an online Master's cohort in 2006. She has a B.S. is in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Science and Language Arts. Prior to teaching, Holly worked as a project secretary and curriculum developer for the RETA project.
